Jessica + Mike's wedding was perfect. It was a perfect day, a perfect place and a perfect pair. All in all, I would say it was a perfect day for a wedding. It took place at Ash Lawn - Highland in Charlottesville, VA. So many awesome places to take photos there! My favorite part of this wedding in particular was Jessica + Mike's choice to take all their portraits prior to the ceremony. This allowed a relaxed and very fun atmosphere with family (who had a great time watching as we did all our creative portraits). And it gave Jessica + Mike a chance to capture the moment they first saw each other which is referred to as a First Look. And what a moment that was! Mike welled up and you could tell then and all day that he just knew he was the luckiest man on earth to be able to marry this woman.
He has no idea what a beautiful bride Jessica is yet...
but there is no denying that he knows it now!
I just LOVE this photo.
I told the guys to look GQ magazine quality. And they got it. Top and bottom.
Jessica's MOH brought these real (yes, real!) old fashioned parasols as a surprise for Jessica. They were perfect.
The story behind this shot is that this is a 200 year old tree where Jessica + Mike decided to tie the knot. Jessica incorporated it in the theme - the invitations especially.
As a game for guests, little gnomes were placed around the grounds for guests to find. I found a few!
Another one I just LOVE!
This was another great idea of Jessica's to have a croquet game set up for guests during cocktail hour. How unique!
Just from the amount of toasts and hugs all around, it was easy to tell that Jessica + Mike are loved.
A shot from the first dance to end this perfect wedding.
Congratulations, Jessica + Mike!
