I am participating in a blog circle with several other photographers. On the 20th of each month, we will all be posting a blog with a theme. You can follow the circle around by clicking the next link at the bottom of the post. This month’s blog theme is…Lucky!
It being the month of St. Patrick's Day and all, I wanted to have some fun with this month's theme. So I decided to do a photo shoot of my babies, my dogs. Well, the joke was on me (oh wait, that's April fools). My two oldest dogs are very used to me, my camera and bright flashing lights. However, the baby of the family, Kaiya - who is 2 years old, has never had her photos taken. And let me tell you, it was as bad as taking a child into a big flashy studio who has never been either. It terrified her. And I mean T.E.R.R.I.F.I.E.D. her. LOL! She would NOT stand on the white background. Or sit still for more than 3 seconds.
So enjoy my silly dogs, my fetish with dressing them up and the fun outtakes from the session at the end. :)
Our pug, Gadget.
Kaiya, the stinker.
Midnight, who hates that I dress her up.
the secret to the calm behavior of these two? I use a stool and then they are held captive. My husband was spotting them off to the side.Don't let this normal face fool you! Kaiya decided to give up the fight (and I mean literally) and let me take about 4 photos.
Gadget is our giraffe tongue dog.
The other secret to dog photos? LOTS of treats!
And let the outtakes begin with the TERRIFIED face Kaiya made when I forced her on the white background. haha!
This is how we got her to take any photos. My husband held her back end like a wheelbarrow. Silly girl!
And last but not least, Kaiya's true opinion of the photo session.
Thank goodness I'm not a pet photographer!
Now head over to Lisa's blog and see her take on LUCKY!
