Aren't Camden's first birthday pictures too precious?! He's such a little sweetheart as a little lumberjack enjoying his first birthday cake at his Smash & Splash celebration. He has the best expressions! We love how much you can see his little personality emerge with his cute little baby self. Adorable!
Since we live near the Cheyenne Zoo with the amazing giraffe habitat where you can feed the giraffes and since it's one of Abigail's favorite things to do, her mom wanted to be sure to incorporate that into her cake smash 1st birthday photos.
We think we did alright. ;) She so cute with her little stuffed giraffe watching her smash her birthday cake. Then all of a sudden, she realizes her friend is there and has to give her a hug! Cute as a bug!
As with all our Smash & Splash 1st birthday pictures, we included a few of Abigail's family and a few of her by herself before she smashed her cake and splashed around in the bubble bath. We love including your family in these as we know that your baby will want to look back and see what their parents looked like when they were little!
Happy 1st Birthday, Abigail!
I really love when I get to design a cake smash from start to finish! It lets all my creativity out. I get to do this whenever I photograph our nieces and nephews and whenever clients tell me, do whatever you think. Wahoo! Let's make it EPIC!
When I was in Denver at the Disney store months before this session, I saw the cutest 1 year old outfits - Nemo, Snow White, and a few others. They were so adorable! So for my nephew Emmitt's 1st birthday Smash & Splash, I wanted to do a Finding Nemo cake smash & splash. And if I do say so myself, it turned out even better than I planned!
In one of the photos, we handed him a plastic Nemo, which he proceeded to munch on. We decided it was cannibalism - when one species eats it's own LOL! And the fish in the bath at the end - so adorable!
As usual, our beautiful cake came from Sugar Plum Cake Shoppe. (They are amazing at helping my vision come to life!)
One of our favorite locations to make beautiful portraits is Rock Ledge Ranch. It is a historic ranch with so many different options - a white barn, blacksmith's shop, old houses, pine trees, open fields and a beautiful view of Garden of the Gods without being right up against the red rocks.
Collin's family chose this beautiful location for their family portraits and Collin's Smash & Splash! The cake smash theme was Mickey Mouse and it was cute! He was so adorable in his outfit - complete with suspenders. You just have to see these sweet photos!
A great Colorado theme and fun Mickey Mouse rolled into one! What's not to love?!
Presley's princess themed cake smash was well planned out but as a lot of well made plans, they can often go awry. Even though she normally loves cake and even ate some later that day, Presley was just not having it during her cake smash portrait session. She was good as long as we didn't try to get her to eat the cake lol!
So we worked with what Presley wanted to do and we ended up with some adorable photos and some funny ones that mom and dad loved having in their album to laugh about with her as she grows up. Lucky for us, Presley loved her bubble bath!
And as we always encourage, we captured a beautiful family portrait before all the festivities. We believe you should exist in photos. Your kids want to see you in them!
